Proud new army wife!

Hello, my husband, Sgt. Nicholaus Bloom has left for Iraq (05-15-2005). He is in the 48th Brigade Army National Guard, Troop E 108th Cav, based out of Griffin, Ga. He was at Ft. Stewart, GA for 5 months.

He isn't scheduled to come back no earlier than June 2006 or possibly December 2006.

We have only been married for 17 days. I do not know much about the military. He has been in the military for 13 years and this isn't his first deployment, but it is mine and I am scared to death. I feel like my heart has been ripped out. I had to watch him walk away from me when Family Day/Sendoff Ceremony concluded. It was the hardest thing, watching your loved one walk away not knowing if you would ever see them again. I put my trust in God and I know I will see him again. I praise and salute all of our True American Heroes. All of our troops are fighting for what we take for granted. Peace, freedom and the reason we all wake up in the morning.

All of my thoughts and prayers are with each and every soldier, family and loved ones. May you all come home safe and very soon.
