Keep your heads lifted!

I started talking to him online in May of 2004, about two weeks before he was leaving for boot camp. We couldn't really keep in contact with each other over the following 6 months. I never forgot about him or the long interesting conversations we had. Sometime after the 6 month period was over he came home for a little while only to be recruited in January 2005 to Kuwait for 3 months and from there to Iraq. Ever since he has been in Iraq we have been able to chat online, e-mail eachother and talk on the phone more. The first time I heard his voice the connection I had already felt between us had grown stronger. I hadn't gotten the chance to meet up with him in person until he came home for the two weeks in June and it was a great and pleasurable experience. His family and I all reside in Philadelphia and we miss him very much. He has a big heart for his family and I admire that deeply. I can't think of a way to show him what a good person he is and how much our friendship means to me. I have only told him from time to time how brave and strong he is for being out there. Thank you Kiriroth Lor. Your life is on the line everyday but you continue to stay strong and get through it. I'm looking forward to being with you when you get home. Thank you to the rest of the troops out there. There isn't a day or night that I don't pray for all of you to make it back home safe and soon to your families. Keep your heads lifted and take care of each other out there. Thank You and God Bless.

With all sincerity,

Krista P.
